It's a true kingdom of the nature and cradle of
an unbelievable number of flowers and plants.
Thanks to the extraordinary geographical position in the middle of
the Mediterranean Sea, this ancient wild land swept by the wind has
rightly been defined "Heaven of Medicinal Grasses and Essences".
In virtue of the climatic environmental characteristics, and the big
spaces, these conditions have permitted the survival of an exceptional
number of spontaneous kinds of flowers and plants that can hardly
be found in other parts of Italy. In Sardinia are present around 2000
kinds of flowers and plants, many of them are inserted in the Italian
Official Pharmacopoeia (some are unique in the world). |
